The municipality of West Bolton is one of the high-risk areas for raccoon rabies. Several cases have been reported and confirmed in recent months in neighboring municipalities.
The MELCCFP announces a new preventive measure to curb the spread of raccoon rabies.
From now until August 17, 2025, it is forbidden to transport certain animals, while they are alive, on the territory of municipalities located around areas where cases of raccoon rabies have been confirmed.
