Reconstruction Work on Bridge P-16203 in West Bolton - Bolton Pass near Stagecoach

UPDATE: Work by the Ministry of Transportation and Sustainable Mobility (MTMD) will take place on Bolton Pass Road, near Stagecoach Road, from August 31 to October 5.

UPDATE (August 25, 2026):

We would like to inform residents that work carried out by the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD) will take place on Bolton Pass Road, at the intersection with Stagecoach Road, from August 31 to October 2.

During this period, a detour will be in place via Stagecoach Road. We encourage all road users to plan their trips accordingly, follow temporary signage, and exercise caution when approaching the work zone.

Fill Material Available

The work may generate fill material. Residents who are interested in receiving fill material from the construction site are invited to contact the Municipality of Bolton-Ouest's Public Works Department at voirie@bolton-ouest.ca to express their interest.

May 2026:

The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable will begin major reconstruction work in August 2026 on Bridge P-16203, located on Route 243 in Bolton-Ouest. The work is expected to take approximately four weeks.

These works will require the complete closure of Route 243 at the bridge for the entire duration of the project.

To maintain traffic flow in the area, clearly marked detour routes will be put in place for passenger vehicles and heavy vehicles. Depending on the type of vehicle and the direction of travel, detours will use Mountain Road, Stagecoach Road, as well as Routes 243 and 245. Local traffic will remain permitted in authorized areas.

Traffic controllers and flaggers will be present at the beginning of the project and as needed to ensure the safety of road users and facilitate traffic flow.

We encourage residents and road users to plan their trips accordingly and exercise caution when approaching the work zone. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this work, which is essential to improving our road infrastructure.
