Invasive Exotic Plants: Your Participation Matters!

The Municipality of West Bolton would like to organize an informational session for residents on invasive exotic plants found in our area, particularly Japanese knotweed.

This session will provide an opportunity to learn more about:

• the main invasive species found in the municipality;
• how to identify them;
• the impacts they can have on properties, infrastructure, and natural environments;
• best practices for controlling and eradicating them;
• actions to avoid in order to prevent their spread.

To ensure this session meets residents' needs, we'd like to know if you're interested in participating.

If you're interested in this session, please let us know. Your responses will help us plan an event tailored to the number of participants and the topics that concern you.

Help us compile an inventory of invasive plants

At the same time, the Municipality is currently conducting an inventory of invasive exotic plants present within its territory.

Although many colonies are visible from public areas, your cooperation is invaluable. If you have identified invasive plants on your property, we would appreciate it if you could let us know so that we can expand our inventory and better target our awareness and management efforts.
